Celeb Studded Book Publishing Scam Has a Plano Twist

The well known celebrity gossip and high society media outlet Page Six reported this week about an elaborate publicity stunt centered on an unknown, mystery man named Jackson Ford who is allegedly the publicist for the self-published author of “Sunny Collins: Sex in the Garden of Fame and Fortune,” Jacob Diamond. The publicist was “effective” at organizing a posh book release event, which was supposed to happen the day of this writing, with red carpet, involving the likes of Paris Hilton, Khloé Kardashian, and actress Lisa Rinna. Wolfgang Puck would serve up a swank dining experience for the esteemed guests.

Sounds quite inviting, right?

The only problem is that it is all fake, allegedly. Interestingly, Page Six spent much of its article space describing how Plano, Texas, based My Med Spa., which is right here where we are in the upscale Shops at Legacy area (aka 50Plano Hot Zone). Even the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the jet set uptown area of Dallas was inadvertently caught up in the scheme of the web-weaving publicist, it seems.

Read the full article on Page Six for details on how Plano and uptown Dallas got brought into this book release fiasco.
