Looks like DFW based retailer JC Penney is coming back home to its old headquarters near our Plano studios
Dallas based real estate giant CBRE is flexing its modern office design muscles in Richardson, TX, not far from our studios
Arlington, TX, where the massive Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers stadiums are located, has a swank new luxury apartment complex coming its way.
Plus: Two of our favorite luxury YouTube channels have some impeccable, well styled videos they posted recently
Let’s jump into it:
From the Dallas Business Journal comes this about JC Penney:
“J.C. Penney, the DFW-based national retailer that declared bankruptcy and restructured during the pandemic, is leasing space in the building that was formerly its headquarters.
“According to the story, JC Penney CEO Marc Rosen sent an email to employees this week that said the corporate staff is moving back into the Plano building.”
Very interesting development, considering JC Penney was one of the big dogs when this nationally known upscale development called Legacy Business Center was first designed and drafted years ago. Shops at Legacy, where our studios are, is one of the crowning jewels of this area, along with Legacy West, The Star in Frisco, and Grandscape in The Colony. And if you’ve seen our videos on our Instagram page, you know this area is one of the trendiest, most lit nightlife suburbs in the country.
Again from the Dallas Business Journal comes this about real estate giant CBRE:
“In a recent survey conducted by CBRE about office occupier sentiment, just over 60% of responding companies said they planned on adopting hybrid workplace policies with guided flexibility, while another 12% stated they planned on adopting hybrid with full employee flexibility.
Most companies plan to dictate how often employees are in the office, with 85% of respondents signaling they want employees in the office at least half the time, according to the survey. Many firms are leaning into technology, with 76% listing enhanced video conferencing as a top three technology priority.
On top of enhanced video, 45% of firms rated an employee experience app as a top three technology priority. CBRE has an app that allows users to make better decisions about when to come to the office by showing maximum occupancy, who’s in the office and other data points that help enable hybrid work. ”
Finally from the Dallas Business Journal comes this about the luxurious One Rangers Way apartment complex in Arlington, about 35 minutes southwest of Plano and 20 minutes west of Dallas:
“A luxury apartment is inbound for Arlington’s Entertainment District, adding to the nearly $1 billion in a new development that’s currently under construction and reshaping the area.
The Cordish Companies and the Texas Rangers are planning an upscale, 300-unit residential community in the heart of the Entertainment District. Located at Nolan Ryan Expressway adjacent to Choctaw Stadium and the National Medal of Honor Museum, the forthcoming project is expected to total about 532,000 square feet. The project, called One Rangers Way, has an estimated price tag of $70 million…”
